WILD FENNEL FEATURES
Wild fennel is a spontaneous, perennial plant with a branched stem, up to 2 m tall. It has leaves that resemble hay (hence the name foeniculum), green in color. Sprouts, leaves, flowers and fruits are used from the wild fennel (improperly called “seeds”).
WILD FENNEL ORIGIN
Wild fennel grows from the sea to the submontana region of all Italy; it is found in arid places, on cliffs and on old walls; it is abundantly cultivated in the form provided with ample fleshy sheaths.
