TAMARIND FEATURES
Each tamarind pod, which can measure 10/15 cm in length, is cylindrical, reddish brown in color, contains from one to twelve glossy hard and cinnamon-colored seeds. The tamarind seeds are surrounded by a dense pulp containing the fibrous filaments. The pulp is bittersweet and highly acidic.
TAMARINDO ORIGIN
Native from India, the tamarind tree can reach 25 meters in height. It belongs to the same family as the carob tree, it develops in tropical and subtropical climates, especially in Africa, in South East Asia, in the West Indies and certain Middle Eastern countries.
