Tamarillo is a fruit similar to tomato, in fact it is also known as “tree tomato” due to the fact that it grows in shrubs and not in seedlings. TAMARILLO ORIGIN
Tamarillo, like tomato, is native to South America but is now also grown in South Africa and New Zealand. There are also sporadic cultivars in the Mediterranean area.
