PEPINO FEATURES
Pepino belongs to the melon family and has an ovoid shape. The thin and smooth skin, normally light in color, is covered with purple stripes; inside the water-rich pulp contains small seeds. Pepino has a sweet and delicate taste halfway between melon, apple and cucumber.
PEPINO ORIGIN
Pepino is native to South America but is now easily found in Australia, New Zealand and California. The plant does not grow more than 50-60 cm and grows like a tomato, therefore it needs a support to grow in height.
