OREGANO FEATURES
Oregano is a lively herbaceous plant with a lignified rhizome from which stems up to 50-60 cm tall develop, some of which carry only leaves while the others support the inflorescence. Oregano has aromatic and digestive, expectorant and antiseptic properties.
OREGANO ORIGIN
Oregano is spread from the sea to the mountain region in grassy places, in clearings and in sunny places. The origins of oregano are still uncertain, but it appears in various texts of the Roman age also because the dried oregano was one of the ingredients of the renowned garum.
