SAGE FEATURES
Sage (Salvia officinalis) is a plant of the Laminaceae family. Widely used in the kitchen to flavor different dishes, it is actually very useful also for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties. Sage looks like an evergreen shrub: it has an erect stem and thick, hard leaves.
SAGE ORIGIN
In the spontaneous state the sage grass is found only in the Mediterranean area of central-southern Italy; it is cultivated throughout Italy and here and there it is naturalized.
