SAVORY FEATURES
Savory is an annual herbaceous plant that gives off, when crumpled, a strong aromatic smell; the stem, 20-30 cm high, is widely branched enough to form a small bush with numerous branches.
SAVORY ORIGIN
Savory grows in northern and central Italy up to the submontane area; it is found in the fields and in the arid places, it is often cultivated and here and there run wild. The areas of origin of the savory are southern and central Europe, India, central-western Asia, southern Africa: all temperate and sub-tropical regions.
