Mint is a perennial aromatic plant. Mint essential oil is made up of menthol, menton, mentofuran and terpenes. Mint has thirst quenching, refreshing, digestive, antispasmodic, antifermentative and slightly analgesic properties. There are 250 kinds of mint and almost 7000 species.
MINT ORIGIN
Mint (piperita) seems to be derived from a natural cross between mentha aquatica and viridis. It is found especially in the north of Italy and is widely cultivated for the production of essential oil.
