FEIJOA FEATURES
The feijoa is the fruit of an evergreen shrub belonging to the Mirtaceae family. Round in shape, the skin has a rough green surface. The white pulp contains edible seeds and has a sweet and flavored taste.
FEIJOA ORIGIN
Native to Brazil, feijoa grows not only in south-tropical regions but also in temperate climates as it tolerates low temperatures close to zero. The major producing states are Israel, Colombia, New Zealand and Italy.
